Paper edge boards are mostly used in final packing of the pallets. After locating the boxes and cardboard on the pallet, the sides of this pack are covered with paper edge board and then are strengthened by using plastic straps. Covering the pallet with such materials will lead to overall strength and regularity of the packing and will halt the breaking or collapse of the pallets while moving. Also in many cases they can be utilized as voide fillers and they are specifically used in parts where sensitive materials encounter voides because they absorb and spread the voide.
